I've spent the last eleven-ish years in IT — nine of it as a sysadmin, the last two on the MSP side — which means a bit of everything: servers, networks, tenant migrations, the odd PBX, and more helpdesk tickets than I can count. That breadth is where most of what I actually know came from.

Somewhere in there I fell into the Microsoft identity side of things — Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune — and it stuck. Identity is the part of the stack where a small misconfiguration turns into a real incident, and getting it right properly interests me. These days that's where I'm pointed: building toward cloud security engineering, one certification and one broken homelab policy at a time.

The homelab is where I test things before I'd ever trust them anywhere else — a Microsoft 365 Developer Program tenant, a stack of VLANs doing more work than they need to, and a habit of writing down what broke. Most of what ends up in the log started as a homelab mistake first.

Outside the stack, the same instinct shows up as trying to use less and fix what's already there rather than replace it — being deliberate about energy, repairing things before binning them, keeping the footprint smaller on purpose. Outdoors, that's a compost bin I'm still learning to get right and a garden bed that's more trial and error than harvest so far. Different domain, same rule: #leave it better than you found it.
